Earth Day Freeing of Lives

  • Trinlay Khachöd Ling (TKL) 154 Lost Clove Road Big Indian, NY, 12410 United States (map)

Bodhivastu will be conducting a life release ceremony dedicated to all beings born everywhere.

Although Earth day is on Monday, April 22nd, having the event on Sunday, April 21st allows for people to come and participate in person.

This time frame also coincides with Lama Rangbar Nyimai Özer’s birthday this week and so we will dedicate the merit to his longevity as well.

Lama Rangbar will also be offering some essential teachings on relating with Nagas, other beings within the environment and also restoring the strength of the five elements.

Those wishing to contribute to the ransoming of bait fish, contributing towards the teachings, or to support the Sangha for a meal that day, can do so here. Please select “Freeing of lives” in the drop down menu to “Designate your Gift”.

Some of you may wish to conduct a local freeing of lives at your own locations, now and in the future. Click below to access prayers to recite during the freeing.

H.H. Kyabje Chatral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche on the benefit of freeing lives:

“The benefit of doing so is beyond imagining. This is the best practice for your own longevity, and the greatest ritual for the living or deceased. It is my main practice of benefitting others. It dispels all external and internal adversity and obstacles, effortlessly and spontaneously, it brings favorable conditions, and, when inspired by the noble mind of Bodhichitta and completed with dedication and pure aspiration prayers, it will lead one to complete enlightenment, and the accomplishment of one’s own and others’ welfare— of this you need have no doubts at all!”
