☮️ Learn about the Mani Peace Wall Project
📖 Why is the Mani Mantra so Important? (Blog post by Lama Rangbar)

Please join us for Mani stone carving as we build the power of peace within our new mani peace wall. We will all be carving mani stones and placing them within the Mani Peace Wall as our vote for peace in our world.

Venerable Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche preparing a Mani stone with his blessed calligraphy for us to carve at TKL.

“There is nothing that benefits as much as generating a mind of compassion filled with thoughts of loving kindness. Nothing else is of any use”

— Venerable Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche

In 2022, Venerable Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche visited TKL and blessed the foundation of our Mani Peace Wall. Our community immediately started carving mani stones that Rinpoche had outlined the calligraphy for.

We have continued our work since then. Last summer, we constructed the Mani Peace Wall’s roof and installed a beautiful Sayi Nyingpo statue.

We are now calling on our community and friends to continue carving Mani Stones to be placed in the wall. Volunteers and participants are welcome to join us in practicing the Four-armed Chenrezig Sadhana in the evenings.

Alex Kalijian, a long time student of Venerable Bhakha Tulku Rinpoche and a very experienced Mani stone carver, will be coming to TKL to instruct participating Bodhivastu community members in the best methods to carve these stones, the proportions of the letters, and more.

Alex will only be with us for a few days so we hope that people take this opportunity to learn this skill and place their vote for peace in this world.

Contributions to Alex's travel, materials, and food for those carving stones is a traditional way of sponsoring stones that is most welcomed and encouraged as a way of joining in the merit. If you cannot attend the fun in person, you can sponsor an entire stone ranging from $40 - $75 per stone depending on size. Click here to contribute.
